Who we support

We welcome enquiries for adults aged 18–65 with mental health conditions and associated needs. Referrals are considered through individual assessment, including where a person also has:

  • Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).
  • An acquired brain injury.
  • Physical disabilities or sensory impairments.
  • Behaviours of concern.
  • Needs associated with drug or alcohol misuse.
  • An eating disorder, where appropriate.

Support and staffing are planned around individual needs, with consideration of cultural and gender preferences. A referral is not a guarantee of a placement; we assess whether we can meet the person’s needs safely and appropriately.

Your recovery, at your pace

Recovery goals are personal. At Park House Lodge, we consider confidence, meaningful routines, relationships and independence together. Support is shaped around the individual rather than a fixed timetable or a single measure of success.

Where step-down or move-on is right for someone, we plan with them, the relevant professionals and housing partners. Moving on is not a requirement or a deadline.

How our approach feels in everyday life

Understanding and adapting

PBS helps us look beyond behaviours of concern to understand communication, needs and experiences. Creating Capable Environments means adapting routines, relationships, surroundings and the way support is offered—not simply expecting someone to change.

Being involved

PCAS—Person-Centred Active Support—means offering manageable steps and the right assistance with activities, routines and decisions. Having support should not remove opportunities to make choices or take part.

Building trust

Trauma Responsive support brings consistency, clear explanations and respect for boundaries. We listen without judgement and respond sensitively to distress, with appropriate specialist help where needed.

PERMA keeps wellbeing in view: Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Accomplishment. Here, the conversation is about what brings enjoyment, which connections matter and what each person would like to achieve. Quality of life remains the purpose of support.
